A car rear-ending a tractor-trailer left a Hodgenville woman with nonlife-threatening injuries and eastbound lanes of Lincoln Parkway closed for nearly an hour Tuesday morning.
William Rogers, 63, of Elizabethtown, was eastbound on Lincoln Parkway in Elizabethtown and attempted to make a right-hand turn onto Harvest Drive when his vehicle was rear-ended by a 2012 Ford Fusion, said Officer Jason Morris with Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement.
Police responded to the crash at 9:38 a.m.
They were unsure Tuesday afternoon what caused the driver of the Ford, Maddalynn Bailey, 23, of Hodgenville, to rear-end Rogers’ truck, Morris said.
Bailey remained unable to relate the details of the crash, though she is in stable condition, he said.
She was taken by ambulance to Hardin Memorial Hospital and moved at the request of a family member to a Louisville hospital, Morris said.
Rogers was uninjured, he said.
Traffic was backed up until 10:20 a.m. after the eastbound lanes of Lincoln Parkway were closed.
The investigation is ongoing. No charges will be filed, Morris said.
