The woman accused of helping a murder suspect to evade police was sentenced Tuesday in Hardin Circuit Court.

Elizabeth D. Hensley, 24, pleaded guilty in January to hindering prosecution or apprehension. Judge Ken Howard sentenced Hensley to three years in prison, which will be probated for five years.

According to the Elizabethtown Police Department, Hensley assisted Robert Tarafa after he allegedly shot Frank Knapp last June at Memorial Apartments.

In her plea deal with prosecutors, Hensley agreed to testify for the commonwealth if Tarafa’s case proceeds to a jury trial, which is scheduled for June 10.
