WOMEN'S AM: Anderson beats Games in championship match

By CHUCK JONES cjones@thenewsenterprise.com ELIZABETHTOWN — Laura Anderson started off hot in Friday’s championship match of the Women’s Kentucky State Amateur Championship, but she had to fend off a late challenge from Beverly Games to capture the title with 1-up victory at Elizabethtown Country Club. Anderson, a University of Louisville sophomore, birdied three of the first four holes to take a 3-up lead before Games, an Elizabethtown resident, started chipping away at her lead.
