By CHUCK JONES email@example.com ELIZABETHTOWN — The first day of match play at the 82nd Women’s Kentucky State Amateur Championship went nearly according to plan. In the five flights, there were only 10 matches won by a lower-seeded player Tuesday at the Elizabethtown Country Club. The first and third flights saw just one player in each one pull off an upset. The first flight, which includes two former champions in Anne Combs and Laurie Goodlett, had only ninth-seeded Martha Tallent beat Stephanie B. Watts, 2 and 1.
