Overlooking rows of grave sites at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff, Maj. Gen. Donald Campbell said he wants to see 2,000 or more wreaths placed at the cemetery next year.
It would continue a steady increase for a program that launched last year with 1,000 wreaths laid as part of the Wreaths Across America project. Donna Betson, chairwoman and founder of the Kentucky Patriots, started the local effort, and volunteers laid 1,500 wreaths at the cemetery Saturday.
