Ty Been struck out seven to lead the Elizabethtown Area Baseball Commission 9-year-old All-Stars to a 12-2 win in four innings over LaRue County on Saturday in the championship of the Cal Ripken District 7 Tournament in Hodgenville.
Gage Sondergard had a single and a double for Elizabethtown, while Been tripled. Eli Brown, Caleb Turner and Carson Yates each had a single.
Bryson Arnette led LaRue County with two singles, while Derek Heath and Bryce Neagle each had a single.
Elizabethtown advances to the Cal Ripken West Kentucky State Tournament, which will be held Wednesday and Thursday in Owensboro.
