Zonta Club announces award winner

The Zonta Club of Elizabethtown announces the local Young Women in Public Affairs Award winner, Emilee O’Brien from Central Hardin High School. An A student, is involved in several extracurricular activities such as the academic team, FCA, Spanish club, the Superintendant’s Student Advisory Council, Student Council, Varsity Club, Rachel’s Challenge Organization, Science Honors Society and the tennis team. She plans to attend Campbellsville College in the fall.

The Zonta Young Women in Public Affairs Program is to encourage more young women to participate in public affairs by recognizing a commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and a dedication to the advancement of women and children. The YWPA award is offered to women age 16-19.
