Laura Dickinson has been a major impact on those around her as executive director at Clarity Solutions for the last five years.
“Laura Dickinson is not only the best boss I’ve ever had, Laura is one of the best humans I’ve ever known,” Maegan Bennett said in her nomination of Dickinson.
Dickinson, 35, of Elizabethtown, is married and has two daughters, Hannah and Grace, with her husband, Dan.
“I am very humbled to have received this honor,” Dickinson said. “Clarity’s success has been all God’s doing, and I am surrounded by an amazing dream team of board, staff and volunteers who help Clarity serve the clients of our communities with compassion and excellence.”
Along with Clarity, Bennett said Dickinson has served as a missionary, teaching in the Czech Republic.
“She felt called to pregnancy center work when she became pregnant with her first daughter and in realizing how scared she was, knew that she wanted to help people who were in situations with not nearly as much support as she had,” Bennett said.
Dickinson said her motivation is her relationship with Jesus.
“Clarity is also motivated by Christ’s love and Clarity’s mission and vision of reaching those in unplanned pregnancy situations with his love — in practical and loving ways — is what continues to serve as my fuel for this ministry,” she said, adding that nonprofit organizations are changing the world. “I’m blessed to have been able to be a part of such a healthy and excellent ministry that is doing such great work,”
Bennett said she is inspired daily by Dickinson.
“I always say that Laura walks softly and carries a big stick,” Bennett said. “She is soft spoken, kind and selfless, but she is strong and determined and gets stuff done.”
