Star Wars fans of all ages, prepare yourself. In celebration of ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ we are proud to announce the new Star Wars-themed reading challenge “Journey to Jedi.” The challenge runs through Dec. 20.

Reading logs are available at the library. Logs must be completed and returned before 5 p.m. Dec. 20 to be eligible for the grand prize drawing. Winners will be notified Dec. 21. You do not have to present to win. To complete a log, either read five Star Wars books or read three Star Wars books and attend two library programs. There are two age categories: 0-11 and 12-999.

There are five special Star Wars programs as part of this challenge, two regular programs, along with screening ‘The Force Awakens’ and ‘The Last Jedi.’ It all culminates Dec. 21 with the Barr Library Holiday Special. Come for crafts, snacks and other Star Wars fun beginning at 10 a.m.

You must be an active duty soldier, spouse, family member, retired military, DoD civilian, National Guard or reservist and eligible for a regular library account to participate. Participation is limited to one brochure per person.
