Several cheerleaders from past decades did a cheer to begin the Lynnvale Alumni Association celebration at its 68th annual dinner May 18 in the chrisitan life center at White Mills Christian Church.
President Barbara Proffitt presided. After a social hour and dinner, John Lay, class of 1962, received the Distringuished Graduate Award. he shared about his love for White Mills and for history and his great interest in research and writing about small towns, bridges and other local places.
After many recognitions and honoring those who have passed away, many attendees received door prizes, provided by Patsy Allen and Barbara Proffitt. After an afternoon of reminiscing, Lynnvale Alma Mater could be clearly heard as grduates procliamed their loyalty once more. Accompanist was Marjorie Riggs.
The 2020 dinner is May 16. Anyone who graduated or attended Lynnvale at any time is welcome to attend. Lynnvale’s last graduating class was in 1962.
