Optimist Club of Radcliff members play and plan for club year

Optimist Club of Radcliff President Shari Smith reports on the progress of the cookbook expected to be completed in time for holiday gift purchases. Smith told of one member who already has sold 35 books.

Optimist Club of Radcliff Club President Shari Smith welcomed members with three competitive Halloween related brain teasers.

The Halloween Emoji Pictionary Quiz was perhaps the most challenging because of the small size of the Emojis.

Following reports from the committees, which included collecting this month’s small change deposit donation in support of the club’s Childhood Cancer Campaign, Frances Lee explained the intent is for everyone to contribute any change they have at the end of the day to the campaign. The campaign runs for the year.

President Smith reported on the cookbook development. The cookbook will be submitted in two days and members should have them back by late November. One Optimist already has accepted orders for 35 books. The books cost $10 and are perfect for holiday gift giving.

Upcoming events included members’ support to Radcliff’ Fire Department’s annual trunk or treat. This annual event is a highpoint for hundreds of the community’s youth.
