Six members of the Radcliff Woman’s Club attended the General Federation of Women’s Clubs Kentucky State Con­ven­­tion from May 9-11 in Lexing­ton. GFWC Kentucky is the state organization of GFWC International.

Becky Brecht, Sheila Enyart, Mary Dea McCrory, Angelique Puckett, Anne Aubrey and Julie Aldridge spent three days attending workshops, business meetings and award ceremonies. Training included history of the state organization as it celebrated “125 Years of Service.”

The Radcliff Woman’s Club received awards in the follow categories:

First place scorecard — 106 percent Club; Conservation Community Service Program; Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Signature Pro­gram;Home Life Community Service Program; Leadership Advancement Area; Press/Social Media Book Contest and ESO – Most Books Read Per Member.

Under ESO:

Sheila Enyart fulfilled requirements for ESO Membership during 2018; Mary Dea McCrory fulfilled requirements for ESO membership during 2017, First Century Award; Angelique Puckett, second place Most Books Read (108), Star Level Membership, fulfilled requirements for ESO Membership during 2017, Second Century Award and Reading/Reporting on 200 Books; Gina Rahoi fulfilled requirements for ESO Membership during 2017, Star Level, 2017, Torch Level, 2017, First Century Award, Reading/Reporting on 100 Books during 2017, Second Century Award, Reading/Reporting on 200 Books during 2017; and Carole Schroer fulfilled requirements for ESO Membership during 2017. third place Arts Community Service Program, Education Community Service Program and Education Community Service Program – HOBY Arts: Anne Aubrey, embroidery, second place; Donna Lee, Quilts-Miscellaneous, third place; Mary Dea McCrory, Wearable Art, second place; Photography, Maria Batistoni, Still Life, second place; Julie Aldridge, Scenes, second place; and Mary Dea McCrory, Living Things, third place.

The awards reflect programs and activities members work on throughout the year.
