The Colonel John Hardin Chapter Sons of the American Revolution held a monthly meeting Aug. 24 at the Hardin County History Museum.

Compatriot Greg Liske gave a presentation on the weapons used in Pennsylvania by the Patriots during the American Revolution. Liske explained in detail how the muskets and pistols were made by local craftsmen in the Pennsylvania area.

Diane Osborne, Captain Jacob Van Meter Chapter DAR member, was presented the NSSAR Martha Washington Medal and Certificate for her support of the Colonel John Hardin Chapter SAR.

The next meeting is at 10 a.m. Sept. 28 at the Hardin County Public Library. Compatriot Ben Humphries will give a presentation about the Elizabethtown Downtown Historic Walking Tour.
