I got to spend this past weekend in Cincinnati with my mom. I love being with her. She truly is my best friend. The funny thing is, the very things that used to drive her crazy about my grandma, I now see in her. When I mention this to her, she says that grandma was great and why shouldn’t she be like her. I can’t help but wonder if in another 20 years, my son and I will be having the same conversation.

We finally got about an inch of much needed rain last Sunday night; the ground has been cracking from the dry weather in this area. Even though it has been dry, we still are thankful we haven’t had any of the terrible storms prevalent in many areas. Such a tragedy.
