The hospitality coordinator of The Woman’s Club of Elizabethtown, Betty McQuown, held a tea with monthly hostesses to go over responsibilities. After the tea, members were divided in their respective months to discuss possible plans. Heath Seymour of the Elizabethtown Heritage Council was the guest speaker at the Elizabethtown Rotary Club meeting Sept. 6. He discussed the mission of the Heritage Council, improving the downtown area of Elizabethtown and some of the upcoming activities. Hardin County Habitat for Humanity is partnering with the city of Elizabethtown to build a pavilion for the community in the Haycraft area.  This is a part of an effort to revitalize the neighborhood. 
Recently, volunteers came to prepare the ground, set poles and install joists that will hold the roof of the 24” x 30” structure.  It will give the community a place to hold picnics and children a place to play out of the rain and the heat of the sun.
