Hello friends, I hope you all are not frozen up yet. I know sometimes lately I think I might freeze up, but not yet. I guess it too cold for many happenings. I hope there will be some great things going on the closer we get to spring.

SYMPATHY. I would like to extend sympathy to Norman Compton’s family. Norman lived and worked around Hardin County back in the 70s through the 90s or maybe longer. I remember him as a good man. I know he will be missed by his family and friends.

KENTUCKY WEATHER. We had some thunderstorms this past week. Then it turned cold again which led to some icy spots on the roadways after the rain came. Then on Wednesday it started snowing. Oh my, we surely live in a mixed up weather state.

It is Tuesday while I am writing this and I am not feeling very well. I had a fever earlier in the day and my arthritis was hurting like crazy. I started to feel sorry for myself and then realized there are so many people feeling a lot worse than I am. So tomorrow is another day and hopefully I’ll use it more constructively than I did today. I hope all of you are doing well. I know the flu has been going around. I keep saying, I can’t get the flu, I don’t have time to be sick.

As I sit Tuesday writing this, the sun is shining beautifully outside and the temperature is great for this time of the year, but the weatherman is promising us colder weather and probably rain or snow later in the week. Oh well, this is mid winter when such is expected. Hopefully the roads don’t get iced over, in spite of the great job the highway department does keeping them salted and plowed.

The weatherman keeps insisting we will get snow but we have yet to see a measurable snow. My yard has not bee adorned with a real snowman for several years now. The kids and I are hoping that changes this season.
