The weather warmed up again. Mother nature is playing tricks on us. On Dec. 17, we had rain, lightning, thunder and hail. There was even a rainbow. It’s suppose to be cold in December and what about the white stuff? A white Christmas would be perfect. I hope everyone has a blessed Christmas.

CLUB NEWS.The Howevalley Vertrees Community Club will have bunco at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 14 at the club building. Bring snacks to share. Everyone is welcome. For information, call Freda Griffen at 862-9413.

Merry Christmas, everyone. I started writing this article by talking about what happened in Connecticut this past week and then deleted it. My heart is broken for everyone who has been affected by this tragedy, but I know there still is good in this world and I will try to dwell on that instead. I am looking forward to the holidays, despite the fact that money is tight this year. I will be with my family to celebrate this most wonderful time of the year. And I will praise God that they are all safe and together this year.
