The flu has hit the area. I hope everyone is lucky and avoids it. Our household has been full of sickness and hopefully is on the mend. I hope everyone has a great, healthy week.

Hello friends, well as we all can feel Mr. Winter and Miss Ice showed up together. I hope all of you stayed warm. I know it was cold at my house, but we got through the bad cold.

APPRECIATION. I would like to take the time to thank Mrs. Johnston for calling school off. As a bus driver and a mother, I know the weather was bad and the children would have been cold and a lot of unforeseen things can happen. Thank you for caring about our children.

Br-r-r-r- as I write this on Tuesday morning, we are having Canadian weather with wind chill factors at least -20. I walked across the road yesterday afternoon to the mailbox and felt as though my face would freeze before I could get back inside. Definitely not my type of weather, of course it could be worse, besides the cold temperatures, we could have gotten ice and snow on the roads until they were impassable. Usually things never are so bad, but what they could be worse, a good reason we should look on the sunny side.

Let me start out by saying how very sorry I am for not submitting an article for the last two Sundays. I thought I would be able to fit it all in, but it all just came and went too fast. We went to Cincinnati to be with my family for Christmas. It was a great time for us all. It is the only time I get to see some of my aunts and uncles, so I really enjoy going. We are all so busy with our own lives so it is nice to take time during the holidays to get together with the ones we don’t get to see year round.
