    From Feb. 12 through April 26, the POW/MIA Flag Guard presented nine organizations with a plaque in recognition of outstanding citizenship for honoring veterans by displaying the POW/MIA Flag. The organizations honored were the city of Brandenburg, Radcliff Chase Bank, Radcliff Fire Department, Radcliff Walmart, Big M Chevrolet, the Rineyville Post Office, The Lusk Group and Bandits Bar and Grill.

    I hope all of the moms out there had a great Mother’s Day. I sure did. I got to spend it with my mom and my two sisters. With our busy lives, it is tough to get us all together, but we did it. My mom really enjoyed it as well.

    The bride-to-be is a graduate of Sao Paolo State University and is a Ph.D candidate in crop science at the University of Kentucky.

    The prospective groom is a graduate of John Hardin High School and the University of Kentucky ROTC program. He is a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army, serving in Vilseck, Germany.
