  • Stitchers complete quilt resolution

    Every January, members of the Stitchers Quilt Guild submit a resolution to finish one quilt they have wanted to do or complete but have been putting off. The quilt must be finished by the November meeting to win a prize. Pictured are Debbie Owens with a Block of the Month quilt that was started a couple of years ago and Sarepta Phillippi with the quilt she submitted. Everyone who completed their quilt received a bobbin ring and one person won a grand prize.

     

  • Homeschoolers support Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland

    Highway of Holiness Home Schools of Big Clifty showed their support of Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland in more ways than one. 

  • Wrestlers club donates to SpringHaven

    Joseph Burroughs presents a donation to Tanya Thomas of SpringHaven Domestic Violence Program. Burroughs and the NO-OX Wrestling Club donated $1,000 for Christmas at the shelter.

  • ECTC employees donate to Helping Hand of Hope

    Elizabethtown Community and Technical College faculty, staff and students recently donated more than $260 to Helping Hand of Hope. The money was raised at the annual Jean Dudgeon Faculty/Staff Variety Show, in which faculty and staff entertain the college community with song, dance, skits and comedy.

    The show is named for Jean Dudgeon, a retired foreign language professor at ECTC, who coordinated the show for more than 29 years. This is the 33rd year the college has hosted the variety show.

  • Moore speaks at Radcliff Rotary Club meeting

    Radcliff Rotary Club President Fran Rolwing welcomes State Rep. Tim Moore to a recent meeting. In addition to his duties in Frankfort, Moore is a pilot and instructor with UPS in Louisville and an officer in the Kentucky Air National Guard/USAFR. He described several incidents from his tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.

  • Corvette Club supports Hosparus

    Representing Classic Corvettes Kentucky, Bob Schramm presents a donation to Lisa Sanford for  Hosparus of Central Kentucky, which cares for patients with any life-limiting illness. Classic Corvettes Kentucky is a local car club that supports many local charities.

  • Higdon keeps giving to SpringHaven

    Jim Higdon makes a donation to Tanya Thomas of SpringHaven Domestic Violence Program. Higdon has been donating to SpringHaven for 19 years and stopped by recently to deliver gift cards for residents and goodies for staff and residents.

  • Scouts visit Hardin County Water District No. 2 treatment plant
  • Bestway Rent-to-Own donates to Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland

    Bestway Rent-to-Own in Radcliff encouraged customers to bring in food items to benefit Feeding America, Kentucky’s Heartland. In the end, the business collected almost 200 pounds of food to be donated. These items will be used to help those in need in FAKH’s service area.   

  • Thank you for Honor our Heroes support

    I would like to extend a special thank you and holiday wish to all who helped with Honor our Heroes, a road block held Nov. 16 to raise money for Wreaths Across America.

    Those helping included members of the following organizations: Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club USA, Second Brigade Motorcycle Club, Rolling Thunder, Sons of God Motorcycle Club, Armed Forces Motorcycle Club, A.R.M., Kentucky Patriots, Gloria Henderson, Girl Scout Troop 336, Boy Scout Troop 153, Radcliff Fire Department and Vine Grove Fire Department.
