This past week was so wonderful. The cooler weather was such a nice break and I got to spend the weekend in Cincinnati with my family. My mother, Cheire Hentschel, celebrated her 70th birthday at a party at my sister’s house. It was so great to be with family and to see my mom have such a good time. She is an amazing woman and I love her so much. I love every minute I get to spend with her.

Busy seems to be the name of the game for this time of the year. I am still busy with my canning etc. and everyone else has other chores prevalent to this time of the year. But hasn’t the weather been just wonderful for the time of the year. I can’t remember the temperature registering so low this time of the year. I believe, according to the records, the last time temperatures were this low was way back in 1928.
