  • Moores celebrate 50th anniversary

    Robert E. and Brenda Masters Moore will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 20, 2012, at Tunnel Hill Baptist Church in Elizabethtown.

    They are longtime members of the church and were married there Oct. 21, 1962, by the Rev. Russell Jones.

    Mr. Moore is retired from Olin/Arch/Lonza Chemical and Mrs. Moore is a retired clerical worker.

    They have three children, Laura Howard, Robin Johnson and Kevin Moore; and five grandchildren.

  • Figgs celebrate 47th anniversary

    Susan and Darryl Figg of Elizabethtown will celebrate their 47th wedding anniversary with a renewal of their vows at 2 p.m. Oct. 21, 2012, at the Brown-Pusey House in Elizabethtown. Refreshments will follow.

    They were married Oct. 16, 1965, by Dr. Verlin C. Kruschwitz.

    They have one son, Jason Figg of Elizabethtown.

    All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Please, no gifts.

    The bride-to-be is the daughter of Rod and Tammy Taylor. A 2012 graduate of Morehead State University with a bachelor’s degree in imaging science and an associate degree in applied science, she is employed at University of Louisville Hospital.

    The prospective groom is the son of Tamara and DuWayne Drexler and Tim and Rhonda Sanders. A 2008 graduate of Southeast Lineman Training Center, he is employed at Nolin RECC.

  • Merediths celebrate 50th anniversary

    Ralph and Ruth Meredith of Glendale will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 20, 2012, by attending Mass at St. Ambrose Church in Cecilia and a family dinner.

    They were married Oct. 20, 1962, in Leitchfield by the Rev. George Hancock.

    Mrs. Meredith is a homemaker and Mr. Meredith is a farmer. They enjoy being together on their farm and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
