Club members will have a Christmas dinner and final meeting Dec. 21 at the Elizabethtown home of Bonnie Gunter with Ria Malito as co hostess.

  • Radcliff Rotary supports clean water project

    Radcliff Rotary Club President Fran Rolwing presents a check to Rotarian Bob Swope in support of Elizabethtown Rotary Club’s project to provide clean water in Guatemala. Swope said the club hopes to install four or five more water filtration systems in the coming year.

  • Glendale Lions receive donation for veterans project

  • Radcliff Rotary names Lachut student of the month

    Rachel Lachut was honored as the Radcliff Rotary Club Student of the Month in November. Lachut, pictured with club president Fran Rolwing, is a North Hardin High School senior with a 4.0 grade-point average and is the top student in her class. A Governor’s Scholar and National Merit Finalist, she also is a pianist in the concert ensemble. She hopes to attend Centre College and major in music education or English.

  • American Legion Hardin Post 113 recognizes CHHS band

    Jesse Hall, Chairman of Veterans Day Tribute, presents a $200 check from American Legion Hardin Post 113 to Central Hardin High School Band Boosters President Scott Hagen for the band’s participation in the Veterans Day Tribute at Elizabethtown Nature Park.

  • Veterans, military pitch in for Habitat for Humanity

    Active and retired military personnel, along with their families, volunteered to honor military veterans during Hardin County Habitat for Humanity’s first veterans build week.

    The submitted names of military men and women were written on the frame of house No. 50.

    “The volunteers helped with repair projects due to weather delays,” said Hardin County Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Scott Turner. “We appreciate all the hours put in to honor veterans and active military.”

    Many members of the Garden Club of Elizabethtown gathered Nov. 19 at the Brown-Pusey House to decorate the house and garden for Christmas, using freshly cut and artificial greenery.
