Charles R. Borders will celebrate his 75th birthday with an open house given by his daughter and son-in-law from 6 to 9 p.m., July 16, 2011, at 435 Hargan Road in Vine Grove.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend.

Western Kentucky University alumni Kendra Stewart, Dr. Ron Stephens from WKU and AUSA President Gene Gudenkauf. Dr. Stephens is receiving the five-year AUSA membership award on behalf of the university.

Cathy Williamson, outgoing president of the Elizabethtown Rotary Club was the speaker at the meeting June 28. She gave a review of the club’s success in many areas in the past year. Pictured with Cathy is Michael Owsley. He presented Cathy with a plaque honoring her successful year as president.
