  • Veterans' employment services outreach program begins

    A veterans’ employment services outreach program is available from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Mondays in the basement of Radcliff City Hall, 411 W. Lincoln Trail Blvd. in Radcliff.

    Employment services include job search techniques, resume writing skills, interviewing skills and job referrals.

  • VFW Post 10281 partners with HCEC-TV

    VFW Post 10281 recently voted to become a programming sponsor for Hardin County’s Educational and Community Techvision’s upcoming school year. HCEC-TV has provided extensive production coverage of government and community events such as legislative breakfasts, community parades and local celebrations such as Heartland Festival for the past 30 years. VFW Commander Butch Ferrell presents a check to HCEC-TV representative Gina Ryan to support the endeavor.

  • Kubisch graduates from AIT

    Army National Guard Pfc. James V. Kubisch has graduated from the Basic Field Artillery Cannon Crewmember Advanced Individual Training course at Fort Sill in Lawton, Okla. A 2010 graduate of John Hardin High School, he is the son of Vincent Kubisch of Elizabethtown.

  • Radcliff Rotary Club welcomes Kennedy as new member

    Radcliff Club President Gail Phoenix welcomed Jeffrey D. Kennedy, newest Radcliff Rotarian, to the club during a recent lunchtime meeting. Kennedy, a former soldier, educator and counselor, operates HOPE Business Training Development Institute, a consulting firm, which assists business with business plans, conflict management, mediation, etc. Kennedy told the club he was excited about becoming a member and contributing to the clubs many community service activities.

  • Fair Pageant Committee appreciates community support

    The Hardin County Community Fair Pageant Committee would like to thank our community for the help and support for our pageants this year. Scholarship, donations and volunteers is what it takes for the fair pageants to be a success. Again thank you.

  • Garden Club members Funkhouser family home dedication

     

    Recently members of the Garden Club of Elizabethtown participated in the home dedication ceremony for the Christie Funkhouser family. The club donated potted plants for the new home.  

    If you are interested in joining the Garden Club and participating in fun activities, call Deborah at 766-1073. Guests always are welcome at the meetings held the first Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. in the ballroom of the Brown-Pusey House.
