    Eddie L. and Betty S. Finley Caswell celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 9, 2011.

    They were married June 9, 1951, at Camp Ground Methodist Church in Bonnieville with the Rev. G.G. Lyle officiating.

    They have a son, Steve, of Upton; and a granddaughter.

  • Stitchers Meet For Ufo Weekend

    Kitty Neumann shows a quilt top she worked on during one of the Stitcher Quilt Guild’s UFO, unfinished objects, weekends. These are weekends or days that are set aside for members to come to the Hardin County Extension office and work on quilts in the making. Members are working to finish quilts that will be entered into the Hardin County Fair next month and the annual quilt show. The Heartland of Kentucky Quilt Show Sept. 23-24.

    BALLARD. Air Force Airman Kristofer K. Ballard graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. A 2010 graduate of John Hardin High School in Elizabethtown, he is the son of Russell and Sheri Ballard of Elizabethtown.
