    KENTUCKY WEATHER.Falling leaves and temperatures. The leaves are rapidly falling. No time to stay on the trees to see the beautiful colors. Seems like the temperature is going to be colder earlier this year. Dare I mention that four letter word...snow? Some are thinking we will have a lot more snow this year.

  • McCoys celebrate 50th anniversary

    Jim and Judy Hay McCoy of Hendersonville, Tenn., formerly of Hardin Springs and Louisville, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 18, 2013, with a trip to Florida and a reception at their church with family and friends.

    Mr. McCoy retired from J.C. Bradford Brokerage Firm in Nashville, Tenn.

    They have one daughter; one son; and four grandchildren.

    The weatherman already is speaking of snowflakes, brrrrr. Some are predicting a bad winter this year, guess we will see. Last year was relatively mild, with a few very cold nights, early in the season. Whatever there is, little we can do about the weather, but make the best of it, we can.

  • Johnsons announce birth of Grayson

    Jeffrey and Ashley Johnson of Shepherdsville announce the birth of a son, Grayson Lukas Johnson, on Oct. 10, 2013, at Norton Suburban Hospital. He weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces and was 21 inches long.

    He has a sister, Mia Johnson.

    Maternal grandparents are Luther and Barbara Nall of Radcliff. Paternal grandparents are Michael and Leslie Johnson of Louisville.

    Great-grandparents are Mary Whidby, Patricia Price and Steve and Marilyn Price.
