Robert and Laura Selman of Hodgenville announce the birth of a daughter, Kyleigh Marie Selman, on April 12, 2011, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She weighed 6 pounds, 1 ounce and was 17 ½ inches long.

She has a brother, Noah M. Selman.

Maternal grandparents are William and Connie Wilson; and paternal grandparents are Robert and VV Selman. 

Leland and Wilma Schmoranz will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary June 5, 2011.

They were married June 5, 1951, in Jeffersonville, Ind.

Mr. Schmoranz is retired from civil service at Fort Knox, and Mrs. Schmoranz is retired from Elizabethtown Independent Schools and preschool at First Christian Church. Both are members of First Christian Church in Elizabethtown.

They have one daughter, Monica; and two grandchildren. 

Twelve members of the Garden Club of Elizabethtown traveled to Frankfort for a reception and tour of the Floral Clock and Rose Garden display at the Governor’s Mansion. The club made a donation to assist in the purchase of flowers and plants to refurbish the clock and garden.
