    Marilyn Bickett, Donna Petry and Nancy Schramm represent St. Vincent de Paul in the Heart Chase at Hardin Memorial Hospital. They finished eighth out of 20 teams.

    Brownie Girl Scout Troop 1558, third-graders from St. James Catholic Regional School, was joined by Samuel Haycraft and Gen. George Custer for a history lesson of Elizabethtown and took a mini-tour of downtown’s landmarks.

    Radcliff Rotary Club President Fran Rolwing, right, welcomes Rotarian Janelle Cornell, who continues the “Know your Rotarian” series using a unique Bingo approach to her life story, which has included many twists and turns. She is a mother of three, a business woman, active in her children’s’ activities, a fishing enthusiast, boater and finds time for fantasy football. Cornell is manager of Duplicator Sales and Service Inc. in Elizabethtown.

  • Hardin County Democratic Woman’s Club members gather for meeting

    The Hardin County Democratic Woman’s Club last meeting of the club year was May 6, at Nolin RECC.

    Jean Dudgeon introduced the scholarship winner, T.J. Gordon, a senior from Central Hardin High School who has maintained a 3.8 grade-point average. Club members presented him with a $500 scholarship and acknowledged T.J. is a remarkable student who exceeded expectations of the average student. T.J. Gordon thanked the club and gave a brief bio of himself, his Democratic views and plans for the future. T.J. was joined by his mother.
