HOTTER.  The first week of July was extremely hot with temperatures reaching into the 100s. We take very good care of our outdoor pets but one of them, Nani, got overheated last week and we brought her in the house to cool her down. She now has dug a deep hole in the ground to stay cooler. She looks like she’s in a fox hole. It’s funny how smart animals can be. Give your pets cool fresh water throughout the day. We put ice cubes in ours.

Hello friends and neighbors. The weather really has been something to write home about, just plain hot, but I guess we will have to live with it. It’s never just right, too hot, too wet, too dry, too windy, or just too coId.

Wow. This week has gotten off to a hectic start. With watering the garden, gathering vegetables, picking blackberries, Canning and freezing, I hardly know if I am coming or going. But I am so thankful to have all the food, to keep me busy saving it for a later date.
