While these competitions are meant to be a fun, learning experience for 4-H’ers, some get caught up in the competitive spirit of the event, which can cause anger and disappointment if a young person or their animal doesn’t place as high as expected.

Hello friends, I hope this week has been a good one for all of you. I know it sure has been hot in the burg. I have travel up and down Hwy. 62 and notice that the State Highway Department has been doing some surveys. I wonder what going to happen there? Maybe making a four lane or building up the road so the water will not stand in the road, or maybe they are going to clean out the creeks around so the water will flow better.
