    Ray and Martha Sepulveda of Vine Grove announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Amanda Sepulveda of Henderson, to Lucas Dalton of Albany.

    The bride-to-be is a 2010 graduate of Lindsey Wilson College and is a middle school science teacher.

    The prospective groom is the son of Morgan and Donna Dalton of Albany. He also is a 2010 graduate of Lindsey Wilson College and is a high school government teacher.

  • Worleys celebrate 60th anniversary

    Ralph and Mary Etta Worley of Elizabethtown will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary March 22, 2011, with their family.

    They were married March 22, 1951, at New Brandenburg Baptist Church in Brandenburg by the Rev. L.L. McGhee.

    Mr. Worley retired from The News-Enterprise with 42 years of service and Mrs. Worley is a homemaker.

    They have two children, Myron Worley and Jeannie Smith; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

  • Parrishes celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

    Donald and Dorothy Parrish of Boston, Ky., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 5 p.m., April 2, 2011, at Youngers Creek Baptist Church.

    They were married March 31, 1961 at Younger’s Creek Baptist Church.

    Mr. Parrish is retired from the Kentucky State Highway Department. He spends his time farming and caring for family.

    Mrs. Parrish is the oldest of 11 children.

    The couple attends Youngers Creek Baptist Church.

  • Cecilia Homemakers has special guests at meeting

    The Cecilia Homemakers recently met in the fellowship hall of Cecilia Baptist Church with 24 members and five guests present.
    The group was happy to have as guests Marie Deaton, Susan Byers, Fran Hodges, new honorary member, and Pat Mueller, Hardin County Homemakers president, and Heidi McNutt. The lesson was given by Joyce Morris and Bettina Marple entitled “Brain Power.”

    Radcliff Mayor J.J. Duvall recently presented Interim Hardin County Chamber Director Rik Hawkins, a plaque commending him for all his work in establishing the new chamber of commerce.   • 1971 North Hardin High School graduates sought

    The NHHS Class of 1971 will celebrate its 40th reunion this summer.

  • Radcliff Rotary Club welcomes new members and guest speaker

    Guest speaker for the recent Radcliff Rotary Club meeting was Bill Lamb, president and general manager of FOX41 television in Louisville. Familiar to many as the “Point of View” host, Lamb also is a Louisville Rotarian. He talked about the TV Business and traced some of the strategies that have led to FOX41’s recent success in the Louisville market.

  • Sears graduates USMC training

    SEARS. United States Marine Corps Private First Class Michael “Mike” Sears, the son of Dean and Susan Sears of Vine Grove, graduated from USMC Recruit Training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island, S.C.

    After completion of Marine Combat Training at Camp Lejeune, N.C., Sears will attend Motor Transport training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.

    He is a 2010 graduate of North Hardin High School.
