The last day of February turned out to be a very busy day weatherwise. The day was filled with constant storm warning sirens going off during the morning hours. Tornadoes touched down in Elizabethtown, Hodgenvilleand Grayson County. There was one injury and no deaths reported, but there was a lot of damage to homes and businesses.

My sister said they spent most of the morning at school taking precautions. She attends Central Hardin High School.

Just a few more days until spring officially is here, but when we look outside, it looks as though it is already here, Easter flowers and dandelions blooming. A few days ago, I was looking out from the kitchen at the limbs on a tree in the yard and there were leaves beginning to sprout. I remember a few years ago when everything leaved out early and got frozen when a cold front moved through. Hope it doesn’t happen this year. It almost killed some trees and shrubs that year.
