    The Zonta Club of Elizabethtown along with Zonta Club members spanning the globe will be celebrating International Women’s Day and Zonta Rose Day, today, March 8. Zontians set aside March 8 to reflect on the achievements of the past year and to prepare for the challenges ahead.

    Zonta Rose Day was introduced at the 1984 Zonta International convention in Sydney, Australia. The Zonta symbol is the yellow rose, a reminder of the vital work Zonta does to advance the status of women locally and worldwide.

  • Parents welcome Dylan Floyd

    Aaron and Vikki Booker of Elizabethtown announce the birth of a son, Dylan Floyd Booker, on July 9, 2010, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He weighed 9 pounds, 1 ounce and was 20.75 inches long.

    Grandparents are Steve and Anna Booker and Donnie and Sharon Walters, all of Elizabethtown.

    Great-grandmothers are Katherine Booker of Eastview and Nadine Williams of Cecilia; and great-great-grandmothers are Kathleen Booker of Sonora and Evelyn Floyd of Eastview.

  • Grandparents welcome Mason Jennings

    Weller and Carla Nelson of Elizabethtown announce the birth of a grandson, Mason Jennings Campbell, on Dec. 2, 2010, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville. He weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 20 ¼ inches long.

    Parents are Brad and Stephanie Campbell of Louisville.

    He has a sister, Baylee Lynn.

    Paternal grandparents are Wayne and Diane Campbell of Chattanooga, Tenn.

    Great-grandparents are Tootie Lutz of Elizabethtown, the late Carl Lutz, and the late W.J. and Virginia Nelson.

    Parents are Drs. Curtis Wright and Terri Samuel of Carmel.

    Sister is Lauryn Marie Wright.

    Paternal grandparents are Daniel and Judy Wright of Tampa, Fla.

    The prospective groom is the son of Neal and Melody Dodson of Webster.

    The wedding is at 5:30 p.m. EST, March 26, 2011, at Payneville Baptist Church in Payneville.
