Sorry to have missed so many weeks having my column in print. Friends have been calling wanting to know if I have been sick, etc. I have had computer problems to no end. My old one quit so I got a new one with Windows 8. Complicated is not the word for it.

CONGRATULATIONS MAYOR BERGER. Edna Berger, well known to everyone, was appointed Mayor of Elizabethtown. She will do a fantastic job for the town. She also will try to make some things that the late Mayor Tim Walker had envisioned for the town become a reality.

Hello friends, I hope the weather hasn’t been too hot for all of you, I know it’s been too hot for me. My brother and I were sitting on my porch doing nothing and I was sweating. I thought to myself, “It’s too hot for this. It will not be long until school starts and I’ll be on the bus, then I’ll really know what hot is.” Yes, the big yellow buses are hot.
