• Radcliff Woman’s Club members participate in Relay for Life event

    The Radcliff Woman’s Club helped illuminate the Relay for Life “Century of Hope” event May 31 through June 1 at North Hardin High School.

    Lighting up the opening ceremony, club member Sheila Enyart joined with Mayor J. J. Duvall, Radcliff City Councilman Stan Holmesand Magistrate Roy Easter to award medals to cancer survivors.Among the survivors wasclub member Emma Rosenkrantz.

    Bo O’Brien, Chairman of the Elizabethtown Tennis Commission receives a grant from Tommy O’Brien, manager of the Elizabethtown Walmart. The grant will help with the commission’s summer programs.

  • Woman’s Club of Elizabethtown presents donations

    The Woman’s Club of Elizabethtown members have worked all year to raise money for contributions to community organizations and many already have been awarded. At the summer board meeting, members decided to award the remaining funds raised this fiscal year. Those new recipients were Clarity Solutions for Women, CASA and Sunrise Children’s Service. Not a new recipient but receiving a donation was Habitat for Humanity.

  • AUSA appreciates tournament support

    The 20th annual AUSA Golf Tournament was June 7 at picturesque Lindsey Golf Course on Fort Knox. This year’s scramble was another huge success thanks to the generosity of sponsors, volunteers and players. A field of 117 military and civilian golfers teed off at noon and competed for the top prizes, which included two Hole-in-One Prizes graciously donated by Knox Ford and Swope Family of Dealerships.

    Dr. Richard Kyle Wheeling and Catherine Alexandra Hieronymus were married June 8, 2013, at The Barn at Cedar Grove in Greensburg. A reception followed.

    The groom is the son of Richard and Scarlett “Scottye” Wheeling of Elizabethtown.

    The bride is the daughter of Gayle Hieronymus of Prestonburg and the late Charles Hieronymus.

  • Hammer – Hamilton

    Dr. and Mrs. Brian C. Hammer of Elizabethtown announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kelsie Renee, to Stephen Thomas Hamilton Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Thomas Hamilton Sr. of Bardstown.

    The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hammer and Mr. and Mrs. William Clayton of Elizabethtown. She is a 2009 graduate of Western Kentucky University and is a teacher at Cox’s Creek Elementary School.
