  • Elizabethtown Lions Club presents donations
  • Elizabethtown Woman’s Club members donate soda tabs

    The Woman’s Club of Elizabethtown recently collected 10 pounds of soda can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. Diane Willis, district governor and member of Elizabethtown club, delivered them on behalf of the club to the Ronald McDonald House in Lexington. This is a long-standing project of the Woman’s Club of Elizabethtown and most members contribute regularly to the collection throughout the year.

  • Radcliff Woman’s Club members celebrate heroes

    The Radcliff Woman’s Club took an active part in the Hooray for Heroes event hosted by AUSA and the Hardin County Chamber on May 19 in Radcliff.

    Becky Brecht and Pat and Bob Nuccitelli set up the booth near the main tent, where a free lunch was served to all active and retired military and their families, as well as to local fire, police and EMS crews.

  • Lynnvale Alumni gather

    Alumni of Lynnvale High School gathered for the 61st annual dinner and meeting May 18 in the Christian Life Center of White Mills Christian Church.

    Classes celebrating 70-, 60- and 50-year anniversaries were recognized. Louise Young Maupin represented the class of 1942. Graduates from 1952 included Russell Sullivan, Gene Cash, Thomas Skees, Ray Johnson Jr. and Olene Richardson.

    HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! I wish all the dads out there a very happy day with your children!

    The first tomato has been picked from our garden and the peppers are ripe too!  Our cabbage looks great and nearly ready. The cucumbers and watermelons have a while to go though. I hope everyone’s gardens are doing wonderful!

    We have been enjoying the beautiful weather lately, but at this writing we are in need of some of the rain that has been drenching many localities. According to the weather man’s prediction we will be going into a drought period without rain soon. Everything has been growing so beautifully, we hope it continues. Farmers need every advantage they can get to make ends meet, with today’s high cost of raising a crop.
