  • Logsdons celebrate 50th anniversary

    Bill C. and Janie Elmore Logsdon of Glasgow will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Jan. 29, 2012.
    They were married Jan. 27, 1962, by Brother Roy Barnett Jr. at First Christian Church in Elizabethtown.
    Mr. Logsdon is the son of the late Floyd and Ger-lean Logsdon. Mrs. Logsdon is the daughter of Emily and the late Garnett Elmore.
    They have a son, Todd Logsdon of Glasgow; and two grandchildren.

  • Fegetts welcome Dylan Lee

    Rickie and Sheila Fegett of Rineyville announce the birth of a son, Dylan Lee Fegett, on Dec. 1, 2011, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces and was 18 inches long.
    Maternal grandparents are Bucky Ice and Priscilla Ice of Bardstown. Paternal grandparents are Danny and Debbie Fegett of Vine Grove. Great-grandparents are the late Aline and Jimmie Ice, the late Vernie and Dorathy Lyvers, Geneva and the late Joe Car-roll and the late Dave and Lohdie Fegett.

  • Clark is awarded certificate as Senior Kentucky Assessor

    Deirtre Clark, deputy PVA, was awarded her certificate as a Senior Kentucky Assessor at a recent Department of Revenue PVA Conference for her exemplary performance in the Property Valuation Administrator’s office and the completion of a minimum of 210 hours of classroom instruction offered by the Office of Property Valuation. She has been a deputy in the PVA office since 1994.

  • Davis awarded Certified Kentucky Assessor certificate

    Dennis Davis, Deputy PVA, was awarded his certificate as a Certified Kentucky Assessor at a recent Department of Revenue PVA Conference for his exemplary performance in the Property Valuation Administrator’s office and the completion of a minimum of 120 hours of classroom instruction offered by the Office of Property Valuation. Davis has been a deputy in the PVA office since 1998.

  • Crabtree is named Certified Kentucky Assessor

  • Simpsons celebrate 50th anniversary

    Johnny and Kelta Jane Simpson of Elizabethtown celebrated their 50th anniversary with family Jan. 21, 2012, at Tony York’s on Main in Glendale.

    They were married Jan. 19, 1962.

    Mr. Simpson is a barber and co-owner of Hair Tech in Elizabethtown.

    They have three children, Sherri Gardner, Natalie Puckett and Jon Simpson; and four grandchildren.

  • Patient Financial Services honors veterans with Christmas tree

    The Patient Financial Services Department of Hardin Memorial Hospital decorated a Christmas tree in honor of the military, specifically the 233D, and to remember and honor family and friends past and present who are serving or have served in the military. Pictures and memento’s from family and friends surround the tree, which was decorated in yellow ribbons for the soldiers still to return home.

    The Fort Knox Chapter of the Military Order of the World Wars (MOWW) met Dec. 13 at its clubhouse on Fort Knox.

    Guest speakers at the Elizabethtown Rotary Club on Jan. 10 were a group of local bankers. They gave an update on the financial forecast for 2012.
