  • Cleaning out your home for the New Year?

    Angie Woodward, right, Workforce liaison for Elizabethtown Community & Technical College, decided to give her soap and shampoo collection to Warm Blessings. Pictured with Woodward is Judy Thompson, Wednesday dining room coordinator at Warm Blessings. Woodward started collecting soaps and shampoos when she stayed at hotels as a child on vacation with her family in 1964. There were more than 900 items donated.

    Adrian Bambini was a guest of the Radcliff Rotary recently. Bambini is deeply involved with the Saunders Springs Nature Preserve, chairman of the Radcliff Forestry Board, volunteer coordinator, resident natu-ralist, Eagle Scout Project coordinator, etc.

  • Daycare appreciates grant from Dow Corning

    The staff, children and parents of Linda Goncher’s Daycare would like to extend our gratitude and thanks for the gener-ous FSA grant bestowed upon us from Dow Corning. It has been a wonder-ful gift that greatly has enhanced our playground areas inside and outside. The children have been over joyed by the new play items.

    I have really been enjoying the spring-like weather we have been having, though I guess we need some colder weather. Our ancestors always said to freeze some of the insects. But regardless of how cold a winter we have, there always seems to be plenty that survive.

    The bride-to-be is the daughter of Christine Davis and Tim Carothers. A 2010 graduate of LaRue County High School, she is employed at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home and is a student at Elizabethtown Community & Technical College.
    The prospective groom is the son of Charles Nall and Lisa Langley. He also is a 2010 graduate of LaRue County High School, and he is employed at Nall’s Specialized Hauling.
