  • Rolling Thunder has meeting

    Rolling Thunder Chapter 4 Kentucky monthly membership and business meeting was Feb. 5 in the Lebanon Junction Community Center. The Kentucky State Director A.R. Boots Edwards was present and gave a progress report on Chapter 4. A section of the constitution was read by Education Chairman Marisa Lee. Patches were awarded to Delores Green and Missie Hill. 

  • Creightons celebrate 50th anniversary

    Wayne and Rose Creighton of Vine Grove will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 24, 2012.

    They were married at St. Jeromes Catholic Church in Maryland.

    They have two children; four grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

  • Radcliff/Fort Knox Tourism supports the PAC

    On Feb. 6, the Radcliff/Fort Knox Convention & Tourism Commission donated $1,000 to the Hardin County Schools Performing Arts Center. The monies are to assist with on-going programs at the center.     Elizabethtown High School students Audrey Duke and Nate Wilson were guests at the Elizabethtown Rotary Club meeting Feb. 7.

  • Shinkle shares Haiti trip highlights at Lions Club meeting

    At the Jan. 24 meeting of the Elizabethtown Lions Club, past president Lois Shinkle spoke to club members about a recent visit to Haiti. Lion Shinkle shared the improvements she saw and the many challenges that still remain. She bought back a message from the people of Haiti, “Thank you for all America has done (to help us), please don’t forget us.’”
