  • Lindsey Clement honored at Lions Club meeting

    At the Feb. 7 meeting of the Elizabethtown Lions Club, Lion Jim Weise, left, introduced the club’s EHS Student of the Month Lindsey Clement. Lindsey is in the Pep Club, FCA and Beta Club. She excels in volleyball and is the team captain. Lindsey hopes to attend Murray State University with the intent of earning a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy and pursuing a carrer in treating pediatric and lymphedema patients. She was accompanied by her mother, Jennifer Clement. Lindsey is pictured receiving her Student of the Month plaque.

  • Radcliff Woman’s Club has Valentine’s Day meeting

    Rachel Ray, art instructor and Morrison Gallery coordinator at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, was the speaker at the Feb. 13 Radcliff Woman’s Club meeting. Ray spoke of the various exhibits at the gallery to include the John Jake Oxnard sculptures, Laura Hartford photography collection and the Delaire Rowe paintings inspired by quilt patterns and the Alan Vance paintings and drawings. Ray said the much anticipated exhibit was the Lincoln: the Constitution and the Civil War to be featured Aug. 15.

    A LITTLE SNOW. On Feb. 14, in the very early morning hours it began snowing. If the temperatures had been just right we probably would have gotten several inches but we only got possibly an inch or less. Hardin County Schools were delayed one hour. They have been very fortunate this year so far. Hopefully it will stay that way.

    NO SCHOOL. Hardin County Schools will be closed on Monday because of President’s Day.
