  • Grays celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

    Ruby Campbell and Chester “Fuzz” Gray of White Mills will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a renewal of their vows and a reception at 7 p.m., Sept. 9, 2011, at Pritchard Community Center.

    They were married Sept. 7, 1961, in Celina, Tenn.

    Mr. Gray is retired from auto sales.

    Mrs. Gray is retired from Gates Rubber Co. and is employed at Stone Hearth Restaurant.

    They have two children, Tim Gray of Elizabethtown and Tracy Carby of Stephensburg; and three grandchildren.

    September is here and it seems summer has decided to stay a little longer. I am ready for cooler weather and eventually snow. I know most of you don’t like that word but it is one of my favorites.

The festival will include food booths, bouncies, kids’ game booths, health screenings, a military exhibit and more. All money raised will go directly back to the students of Lakewood.
