    Maternal grandparents are George and Sheryl Sadler of Sonora, and paternal grandparents are Terry and Jennifer Gardner of Sonora.

  • Daileys celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

    Henry and Carol Cox Dailey will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 6 p.m., Oct. 30, 2011, with an open house hosted by their children and grandchildren at the couple’s home, 118 White Oak Drive, Elizabethtown.

    They were married Oct. 28, 1962, by Brother Paul McFarland at Mount Freeman Baptist Church in Junction City.

    Mr. Dailey is retired from Sysco.

    Mrs. Dailey is retired from First Christian Church and is a homemaker.

  • Lyonses celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

    Dale and Jane Lyons will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house given by their children and grandchildren from 4 to 6 p.m., Oct. 23, 2011, at College Heights United Methodist Church in Elizabethtown.

    They were married Oct. 28, 1961 by the Rev. Trevis Otey at Glasgow Baptist Church in Glasgow.

    They have been members of College Heights United Methodist Church since moving to Elizabethtown 36 years ago.

    They have two children, Dala Louthan and Chuck Lyons; and two grandchildren.

  • Yateses celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

    Harold and Agnes Singer Yates of Vine Grove celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 25, 2011, with an open house at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

    They were married Sept. 23, 1961 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

    Mr. Yates is the retired owner of Harold’s Auto Service in Radcliff, which he started in 1973.

    Mrs. Yates is originally of Rineyville. She has worked at North Hardin Insurance Agency for 35 years as a commercial lines manager. She has been in the St. Brigid Choir for 25 years.

    Jared and Lora McCamish of Cecilia announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ashley Puckett of Cecilia, to Matthew McCamish of Cecilia.

    The bride-to-be is a 2011 graduate of Central Hardin High School. She is employed at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

    The prospective groom is the son of Gary McCamish and Barbara McCamish, both of Cecilia. He is a 2010 graduate of Central Hardin High School and is employed at Phoenix Bearings.

    A wedding reception is at 5 p.m., Oct. 29, 2011, at White Mills Baptist Church.

    The bride is the daughter of Ralph and Jenny Nickell.

    The groom is the son of Greg and Lillian Peak of Elizabethtown.

    The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Duke Nickell.

    Matron of honor was Susie Madden;bridesmaids were Brittany Gregory, Melissa Peak and Jennifer Mayfield;and flower girl was Lilly Smallwood.
