• Tourism appreciates help with Hardin County Tourism booth at state fair

    The Elizabethtown Tourism and Convention Bureau and the Radcliff Fort Knox Convention and Tourism Commission would like to say thank you to the Hardin County History Museum and Paul Urbahns for donating artifacts for the Hardin County Tourism booth at the 2012 Kentucky State Fair, Aug. 16 through 26. Our participation in the Fair would not have been possible without our dedicated “Blue Ribbon Volunteers” that staffed the booth during the 11-day event. We appreciate your contribution of time, knowledge and community spirit.

  • Radcliff Woman’s Club members attend district meeting

    Five members of the Radcliff Woman’s Club, Anne Aubrey, Maria Batistoni, Sheila Enyart, Becky Brecht and Yvonne High, took time from their summer to build hope, strength, courage and love, the theme of the Kentucky Federation of Women’s Club Fourth District they attended July 21 in Elizabethtown. The fourth district is comprised of six regional clubs in the KFWC.

    The GFWC Kentucky Woman’s Club of Elizabethtown members participated in the Heartland in the Park parade. In keeping with the parade theme, their entry “Champion in Education.” featured scholarship recipient, Courtney Huff. She is a student at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. She road in a Corvette driven by Diane Willis, member of the Woman’s Club of Elizabethown.

    The bride-to-be, a 2010 graduate of Central Hardin High School, is a pharmacy technician at Apothecare Pharmacy.

    The prospective groom, a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy, is a pharmacist at Apothecare Pharmacy in Elizabethtown.

    Capt. Andrew and Roslynn Betson of West Point, N.Y., announce the birth of a daughter, Olivia Jean Betson, on May 30, 2012, at Keller Army Hospital in West Point.

    She has a brother, Ethan.

    Grandparents are retired Col. Bill and Donna Betson of Vine Grove.
