• Optimist Club of Radcliff inducts new members

  • Feeding America volunteers share mission with Optimist Club of Radcliff

    Milissa French and Pam Alicna, volunteers for the Feeding America/Backpack program, spoke to members of the Optimist Club of Radcliff recently about what their organization does. Feeding America’s mission is “to serve those in need by acquiring and distributing donated food, grocery items and government commodities through our member network of charitable agencies in 42 Kentucky counties.”

    CARLSON. Army Pfc. Blake E. Carlson has graduated from One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Leonard Wood, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. The course of instruction included basic military training and advanced individual training (AIT). A 2011 graduate of North Hardin High School, Carlson is the son of William Carlson and grandson of Leland Carlson, both Vine Grove.

  • Cross promoted to lieutenant colonel

    Angela F. Cross has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force. Cross is a force support squadron officer assigned to the Headquarters Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Mary Esther, Fla. She has served 20 years in the military.

    She is the daughter of H.B. and W. Faye Fleming of Radcliff, and she is married to Keat A. Cross Jr.

    The lieutenant colonel is a 1989 graduate of North Hardin High School. She earned a master's degree in 2003 from Webster University, St. Louis.

  • Lincoln Trail District of Boy Scouts of America has annual recognition dinner

    The annual District Recognition Dinner for the Lincoln Trail District of Boy Scouts of America recently was held at St. James Catholic Church. This dinner serves as a format to honor adult leaders, scout troops and Cub Scout packs, as well as individual scouts who have had an outstanding impact in the district through service to their unit, the district or the community at large.
