    Rolling Thunder Inc. Kentucky Chapter Four is deeply involved in community activities.
    The Chapter set up a booth at the Hooray for Heroes in Radcliff on May 17. This event honors military of the past, present and future. Not only the military but also first responders, EMTs, police officers and firefighters are honored and thanked for their service.

  • Paul Ella Bogue celebrates 90th birthday

    Paul Ella Bogue of Elizabethtown celebrated her 90th birthday June 20, 2014, with a surprise party hosted by her family.
    The party was hosted by her son, John (Regina) Bogue; her grandaughter, Bethany (Allen) Brawner; her grandson, Brock (Trista) Bogue; and two great-grandchildren.
    There was a multitude of family, friends and Sunday school class members present.

    Kelly Bolton and Tony Adler were married May 23, 2014, at the Grand Plaza Hotel in Louisville with Gary Fields officiating.
    The bride is the daughter of Elna Fay Bolton of Louisville.
    The groom is the son of Sue Adler of Elizabethtown and the late Jack Adler.
    A reception will be held at a later date.

    Julie Michelle Pearson and Kenneth James Hinton were married April 26, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bowling Green, with Father Andrew Garner officiating.
    The bride is the daughter of Carol Jean Pearson of Bowling Green and the late Willam G. Pearson.
    The groom is the son of Charles and Gail Hinton of Elizabethtown.
    A reception for family and friends at Cambridge Market Café followed the ceremony.
    The couple resides in Bowling Green.

  • Nolan – Mills

    John and Linda Nolan of Mercer, Pennsylvania, and Sabrina Mills and Robert W. and Regina Mills, all of Elizabethtown, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their children, Kaelin Nolan and Jeff Mills, both of Elizabethtown.
    The bride-to-be is a graduate of Slippery Rock University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.  She is a teacher with Hardin County Schools.

    Kevin and Tara Applegate of Maysville and Richard and Lisa K. Rice of Upton announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their children, Caroline Marrie Applegate of Maysville and Donald Wade VanGosen Jr. of Winchester.
    The bride-to-be is a 2009 graduate of Mason County High School and attended the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in career and technical education with a focus in agricultural education.

  • FKSCC members gather for year end meeting

    The Fort Knox Spouses & Community Club recently held its last meeting of the 2013–14 year at Saber & Quill. It was a culmination event for a year of hard work. More than 7,000 hours of volunteer time were donated to the community during the three fundraisers and daily tasks to keep such an organization moving forward. More than 200 members participated in the club this year – a membership increase of almost 100 percent from the previous year.
