    Emily Janelle Chesser and Aaron Stephen Pile, both of Sonora, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

    The bride-to-be is the daughter of Martin D. and Rebecca J. Chesser of Chaplin. A 2009 graduate of Nelson County High School, she earned an associate degree in 2012 and is a student at Western Kentucky University.

    The prospective groom is the son of Stephen O. and Cheryl R. Pile of Elizabethtown. A 2005 graduate of Elizabethtown High School, he is employed at Pepsi Co.

    The wedding is Aug. 25, 2012.

  • Nalls welcome Owen Richard

    Tyler and Leeann Nall of Hodgenville announce the birth of a son, Owen Richard Nall, on June 29, 2012. He weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces and was 21½ inches long.

    Maternal grandparents are Christine and Willie Davis of Hodgenville and Tim Carothers of Elizabethtown.

    Paternal grandparents are Charles and Pam Nall of Elizabethtown and Lisa Langley of Glendale.

    Great-grandparents are Earnestine Nall of Rineyville, Charles and Libby Langley of Glendale, Rita Strader of Elizabethtown and Livia Carothers of Radcliff.

    Allison Jean Brangers of Elizabethtown and Dustin Wayne Armstrong of Leitchfield were married July 28, 2012, at St. Anthony Catholic in Peonia by the Rev. Brian Johnson.

    The bride is the daughter of Sam and Judy Brangers of Elizabethtown and the late June Brangers.

    The groom is the son of Kay Barton and Terry Armstrong of Leitchfield.

    The bride-to-be is the daughter of the late Wayne and Rita Harris. She is property manager at Mark Harris Properties of E’town Apartments.

    The prospective groom is the son of David and Maxine Gilkerson of Branson, Mo. He is a U.S. Army veteran and owner of Image Building.

    The country garden wedding is at 6 p.m. Sept. 8, 2012, at their home in Glendale.

  • Halls celebrate 50th anniversary

    Dr. Larry J. and Mary Lou Moser Hall of Elizabethtown will celebrate their 50th anniversary today, Aug. 19, 2012.

    They were married Aug. 19, 1962, at Memorial United Methodist Church.

    Mr. Hall is a retired physician and is a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and the Rotary Club.

    Mrs. Hall is an artist and also a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and the Central Kentucky Art Guild.

    They have four children, Lori of Cecilia, Heather of Glendale and Kerry and Lewis, both of Crestwood; and five grandchildren.
