• Rogers-Westfall

    Larry and Veronica Rogers of Elizabethtown, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Krista Rogers of Owasso, Okla., to John Westfall, also of Owasso, Okla.

    The bride-to-be is a 2009 magna cum laude graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology with honors, and a 2011 summa cum laude graduate of University of Missouri-St. Louis, with a master’s degree in elementary education. She is a teacher in Tulsa Public Schools with Teach for America.

    Karen Woodcock and Robert “Bobby” Yarborough, both of Hodgenville, were married June 17, 2011, at the Historic State Theater by Al Johnson.

    The bride is the daughter of Johnny Woodcock of Hodgenville.

    The groom is the son of Robert E. Yarborough of Hodgenville.

    The bride was given in marriage by her father, Johnny Woodcock.

    Maid of honor was Samantha Rummage, bridesmaid was Heather Donahue and flower girl was Kristen Yarborough.

    Best man was Joe Sallee, groomsman was Jonathon Upton and ring bearer was Woody Rummage.

    Joyful Noise Studio 2011 held their spring recital on June 4 at Severns Valley Baptist Church.

  • Patton graduates from basic training

    PATTON. Air Force Airman 1st Class Adrian Patton graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

    She is the daughter of George Patton of Elizabethtown and Jacquelyn Hartwell-Adams of Calhan, Colo.

    Patton graduated in 2007 from John Hardin High School in Elizabethtown.

  • Stephens graduates basic training

    STEPHENS. Air Force Reserve Airman Cordero G. Stephens graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

    He is the son of Jeanette Stephens of Radcliff.

    Stephens graduated from North Hardin High School in Radcliff in 2005.

  • Roman completes Naval Nuclear Power Training

    ROMAN. Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Raymond D. Roman, son of Angela K. Williams of Vine Grove and Effrain Roman Jr. of Fayetteville, N.C., recently completed Naval Nuclear Power Training Pipeline.

    Upon completion of the course, Roman qualified as a Naval nuclear operator.

    Roman is a 2009 graduate of North Hardin High School of Radcliff.
