  • Smiths celebrate 50th anniversary

    Kathryn and Elvin Smith Jr. of Elizabethtown will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 30 at Thurman-Phillips Guest House, 103 Broadway St., Sonora.
    They were married Nov. 27, 1964.
    They have three children, Eddie, Donald and Georganne, and three grandchildren.

    Doug Gibson and Kathy O’Brien, members of the Elizabethtown Pickle Ball Group, play at the Wesley Hilltop House. The group moved indoors for the winter months to the gym at Memorial United Methodist Church and will play from 10 a.m. to noon Fridays.
