  • Lincoln comes to Barr Library

    Abraham Lincoln impersonator Jim Sayre will present “I, Too, Am a Kentuckian” at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Barr Memorial Library on Fort Knox.

    Sayre will be addressing the crowd and answering questions as the 16th president. He’s a retired transportation manager from Lawrenceburg and said his role as an impersonator grew out of his post-Army decision to stop shaving.

    She also is the author of the “Iron Fey” series and the “Blood of Eden” series. “Blood of Eden” is in development as a film.

  • Start some memories by auditioning for ‘Cats’

    Youth Theatre of Hardin County will take on the Tony Award-winning Andrew Lloyd Webber musical “Cats” in July.

    But first, a cast is needed.

    Auditions are from 5 to 9 tonight and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Hardin County Schools Performing Arts Center at John Hardin High School. They are open to Hardin County residents in grades six through 12.

  • Stage set for laughter at State Theater

    Funny bones will be tickled when a trio of comics take the stage for the Comedy Caravan show Saturday night at the Historic State Theater in Eliza­bethtown.

    The show begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be headlined by Campbellsville native Stewart Huff. Comedian Joe Deuce also will perform and the show will be emceed by comedian Rachael Goldman.

  • Concert series kicks off 10th anniversary season

    Marking its 10-year anniversary, a concert series called Glen Rice, Family and Friends will present “A Night with the Stars” 7 p.m. today at Hardin County Schools Performing Arts Center at John Hardin High School in Elizabethtown.

    The concert is the season opener for the 2015 Musical Concert Series.
