The Hardin County Playhouse is auditioning for the dramatic play “The Miracle Worker.”
The play is based on Helen Keller’s autobiography. Keller was blind, deaf and mute and her parents hired Anne Sullivan to be her teacher. By learning discipline, Keller eventually was able to communicate through Sullivan’s help.
Told to announce their names and ages in angry voices, some 215 children from 29 schools and four counties complied at various decibel levels Monday night during auditions for “Rapunzel” at Hardin County Schools Performing Arts Center at John Hardin High School.
