With the heat of summer upon us, it brings to mind the words from the Broadway musical “Oklahoma,” “the corn is as high, as an elephant’s eye; and it looks like its climbing way up to the sky”- from “Oh, What a Beautiful Morning.” We have had a lot of rain and also a lot of high temperatures and humidity, so I hope it is climbing high.
Summer is time for families to have fun with one another. That can include a creative snack.
Because families may be heading to theaters this week to see the Minions in their latest movie or catching up with them at home in previous films now on DVD, I decide to make a snack mix with a Minion theme.
If you are new to Hardin County or even if you have lived here for a while, you may not know what us “born and raised here” residents know and that is what happens the second week of July. It is Hardin County Fair time.
The Hardin County Fair has continually won “The Most Progressive Fair” in our commonwealth.
While on vacation, finding great places to eat is one of the highlights.
A few weeks ago in Gulf Shores, Alabama, I went to Cafe Grazie. It’s an Italian restaurant that not only had delicious food, but also the best garlic dip you ever put in your mouth. I could eat my weight in bread and this dip.
